What’s the Best eCommerce Website Builder for an Online Store?

Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur looking for a relatively easy way to start your own business, or a retail business owner ready to expand your business online, building an eCommerce store is a lucrative move to make.

But if you lack web design experience, the process of building an online store from scratch can look intimidating.

If you’re already doing the work to start a new business or run an existing one, creating your eCommerce website is one more task to add to an already overwhelming to-do list. And if you anticipate it being a big job, that probably makes it an easy task to procrastinate.

But every day you put off getting your eCommerce site up is a day of missed sales and profits. Time is money here. Not only do you want to move forward on this sooner rather than later, but you ideally want to get your website up fast once you start.

Getting an eCommerce website online quickly—without having to learn to code—is possible. What you need is an eCommerce website builder.

Below you’ll learn what an eCommerce website builder is, how it can benefit your business, and what to look for in a website builder for beginners.

What is an eCommerce Website Builder?

eCommerce website builders are similar to classic website builders, except they have integrated tools which make selling products online much easier.

A good website builder will take care of all the basic design elements of your website for you, so all you have to do is make some tweaks to the copy, images, and layout to bring it in line with your vision.

And a beginner website builder will have an intuitive website editor that makes that part easy as well. If it’s a well designed product, you won’t have to worry about a long training process, you should be able to figure out how to make the changes you want as you go.

An eCommerce builder uses this same process, but also comes equipped with additional tools to help you manage and grow your eCommerce store. That will include easy options for creating product pages, built-in inventory management tools that make it easy to keep track of the products you’re selling, and compatibility with payment processing functions.

3 Key Benefits of Using an eCommerce Website Builder

Even if you have an incredible product, you can’t build a business around it without giving people a way to learn about it and (securely) make a purchase. In our modern era—and especially in this phase of COVID-19—an eCommerce website is the best way to achieve that.

Learning how to build an eCommerce website from scratch is a lot of work—you’d have to not only learn how to code, but also put in the time and effort required to create your website step by step. And an eCommerce site requires a whole extra set of functionalities that would translate into additional skills and steps you’d have to deal with. But none of that’s necessary anymore.

An eCommerce website builder streamlines the process of building your website and processing online transactions, so you can focus on all the other (many) parts of running a business.

Here are a few of the biggest benefits an eCommerce website builder brings:

1. Easy to Build a High-Converting Website

When you’re building an eCommerce business, you don’t just need a website. You need one that does a specific job: getting people to buy your products. This means you’ll need to integrate product placement with the rest of your site, have product category pages, individual product pages, and a lot more.

A lot of website builders power many successful online stores, meaning they have data on the types of design elements that get results. A good eCommerce website builder will supply a base design for you that incorporates web design best practices and increases your likelihood of turning visitors into customers.

2. Help With Marketplace Integration and Payment

Beyond just showcasing your products in a way that makes visitors want to buy, you’ll also need to offer them a secure way to pay you through your business website. Most eCommerce builders give you the option of integrating multiple payment processors. These can ensure an easy and secure checkout process for your customers.

3. Tools to Manage Inventory

Are you still using a pen and paper to manage your inventory? Most eCommerce website builders make it incredibly simple to manage and set up your business inventory from a single dashboard.

You’ll have the ability to offer product customization options, as well as real-time inventory updates, so you always know how much you have in stock. Having all of this automated makes it much easier to know when you need to restock products, or even run discounts to help move the rest of your current inventory.

What to Look for in an eCommerce Website Builder

There are a lot of eCommerce website building software options out there. So, let the list of eCommerce features below help you sort through the noise.

You might have different requirements based on your store needs, but knowing what some of the most common features available are will help you make a more informed decision.

1. Easy to Use

The main reason to use a website builder is ease of use, so this has to be a given. If a website builder has a big learning curve or requires reviewing a lot of tutorials—what’s even the point?

Most website builders on the market are built with beginners in mind, so you don’t have to settle for one that causes confusion and frustration. Look for one that takes most of the work of building a website off your plate, and makes doing the rest intuitive.

That could mean a tool with lots of templates and a drag-and-drop website editor. Or, you could go a step further and look for a smart website builder that creates a website for you using automation, then makes any additional tweaks you want to make simple. You’ll end up with far less work to do on your own, will save a lot of time, and can essentially outsource a lot of the decisions around your website to the tool.

smart website builder saves time

2. Affordable

Most business owners have a strict budget to work within. Your website’s important enough to treat as an investment, but that doesn’t mean you want to spend any more on it than you have to. The right website builder for you therefore must be one that fits into your budget.

Luckily, you can find a number of website builders that are affordable—even on a small business budget. In some cases, as with the Gator website builder, you can even get one for free bundled with the cost of web hosting. Free is pretty easy to fit into any business budget, no matter how tight the purse strings.

3. Inventory Management

If an interested customer finds their way to your site, and sees a product they’re interested in only to find it out of stock, you’ll probably lose them for good. You want to do everything you can to avoid that! Good inventory management tools are how you do that.

Look for an eCommerce website builder that comes with inventory management features included. Keep an eye out for features like alerts that will tell you when inventory is getting low, the ability to enter product stock, and the option to stop selling products when there’s no inventory left.

4. Payment processing

You can’t sell products without a way to take payments. Every eCommerce website needs a secure way to accept credit card payments from visitors. If possible, you may want to provide a couple different options. Many consumers will be more likely to complete the checkout process if you make payment easier by accepting a payment option they use frequently, like PayPal or Stripe.

Many eCommerce website builders will come with payment processing options built in, making this part much easier.

5. Easy tax calculations

One of the benefits eCommerce has over storefront businesses is that your customer base isn’t limited by geography. You can be based in Maryland and sell products to a customer in Texas. But this presents a complication: different states have different sales tax laws. And you do not want to be on the wrong side of any of them.

Managing sales tax information for all the different states would be unreasonably complicated, so look for an eCommerce website builder that has tools that automate sales tax calculations for you.

6. Easy shipping features

Shipping is hands down one of the most important parts of running an online business. Getting orders out in a timely manner is key to providing a good customer experience. And making sure shipping costs are low enough to customers that they’ll buy, while not costing you too much to make a profit is a complicated, but important balance to find when running your online business.

An eCommerce website builder should make it easy for you to set your shipping rates. Even better if it makes it easy to offer any shipping-related deals to customers, such as free shipping for orders over a certain amount. If you’ll be using a third-party tool for shipping, such as Shippo, you’ll also want to make sure your website builder is compatible with it.

7. Mobile-Friendliness

Many consumers are as comfortable making purchases on their phones as they are their desktop computers. That makes mobile-friendly websites a must.

Because of how common mobile use is today, any website builder worth its salt should default to creating sites that work well on all screen sizes. But don’t take for granted that will be the case, so check to make sure the website builder you consider prioritizes the mobile experience.

8.  Image library

The images you choose for your website will play a big role in the visual experience people have when they visit it. But creating original, high-quality images is a challenge, and you don’t want it to be the step that holds up the process of getting your website up and running.

If your website builder comes with an image library included, finding good-looking images that make sense for your website will be a lot easier and faster.

9. Coupon functionality

Offering customers a great deal is a reliable way to increase conversions. Coupons can be a tool to encourage loyalty in your customers, and drive more sales during a slow period. Plus, discounts can be a smart way to get rid of inventory that’s taking up costly storage space.

Make sure your website builder provides the functionality to offer discounts and coupons to visitors, so you can take advantage of one of the most important and effective sales tools available.

10. Blogging features

Adding a blog to your eCommerce website is a smart way to build up your website’s SEO (search engine optimization) authority and publish helpful content that builds trust in your brand.

Granted, a blog requires a lot of ongoing work, so it may not be something you want to dive into on day one. But you want to know the option’s there for you when you’re ready. When choosing your eCommerce website builder, check to ensure it provides easy options for adding a blog to your website and maintaining it.

11. Social and email integration

Creating your eCommerce website is a big step, but the bigger job happens after you’ve published it. Now, you have to promote it.

Marketing a website is a lot of work, so any way you can make the process a little easier is worth it. A website builder that integrates with your social media channels and email marketing software is a good start.

12. Built-in analytics

Running a successful online business requires paying attention to what works, and evolving your business strategy as needed. To learn what your audience responds to, you need analytics.

While you can (and should) make use of the powerful analytics tools provided by Google Analytics, a website builder that has analytics built into its dashboard will make staying on top of your metrics more convenient.

13. Customer support

A good website builder will be easy enough to use that you likely won’t need much help with it. But even the most intuitive of tech products will occasionally require support. You want to know it’s there if you ever need it.

Look for a website builder that not only offers customer support, but ideally one that provides 24/7 customer support in the channels you prefer, such as email and live chat.

14. Logo maker

This isn’t a requirement for an eCommerce website builder, but it’s nice to have. Your logo will be the main visual marker of your business. Hiring a professional graphic designer to create one for you can be well worth it, but it tends to be costly and take time.

If you want to get one made in a way that’s quicker and easier, a website builder that includes a logo maker will save you time and money.

Bonus:  Domain registration and web hosting

Every website requires a domain name and web hosting plan in order to be available to visitors online. If you invest in a website builder that comes with a free domain name registration and web hosting plan (or a web hosting plan that comes with a free website builder, depending on how you look at it), you both save money and keep the three main services your website requires in one place. That makes keeping your accounts current and making sure everything is up to date and working together less work.

Build Your Online Store with an eCommerce Website Builder

Using an eCommerce website builder with the right features gives you a serious leg up in creating your website. When you offload the main work of creating a website to the right technology, you can focus on running your store and marketing to get new customers.

Hopefully, you’ve found the information above useful in helping you find the top eCommerce website builder for your needs. Once you’ve found the right platform for your web hosting needs, then start building and launch your store.

If you already own a blog or website, then you should use affiliate marketing to monetize your site.

You can use this to place links on your blog that promote products. For example, you will receive a fixed amount or percentage of the sale for every order placed via your link. Do you have many visitors who are interested in certain products or services? Then you can certainly build a nice passive income with affiliate marketing!

For example, you can opt for dropshipping, where products go directly from the manufacturer or wholesaler to your customers. You can also place the storage of products on sites like Shopify or Amazon and have the complete fulfillment arranged by these parties. This saves you time, and you also get a lot of “exposure” for your products.

7. Blogging

It is no news that blogging is one of the best ways to make money online. The best part is you can not only incorporate affiliate marketing but also use Google Adsense to monetize your site.

However, you need to start by choosing a name for your blog and also your blog hosting, preferably using WordPress.

Are you writing news content or is it lifestyle content that’s your thing, you need to have a niche.

Once you have your own blog, you’ll need to learn how to rank your articles on google for free organic traffic by using the right keywords.

However, if you are starting a blog just to make money you need to know that for most people it can be more than a year before they start seeing income, and for others maybe less. It really does depend on how much effort you put into your blog.

Becoming Instagram famous takes time and focused effort on your account.

To become an Instagram influencer, you need unique content, lots of followers, a great engagement rate, and consistency.

Most influencers operate within a certain niche industry based on their interests or expertise. Some of the niches are comedy, food, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, career, money, health, etc.

With as little as 1,000 followers, you are on your way to becoming instafamous.

9. Freelancing

Freelancing with skills you already have in your day job or skills you have in your hobbies can translate quite well when it comes to making extra money online.

You can create a profile on sites such as Fiverr and Upwork and list the skills you have. A few ways to make money as a freelancer is to offer ebooks or reports you’ve written, social media services, graphics designer, digital marketing, virtual assistant, research, write a review to mention a few.

The best part about freelancing is the flexibility it gives. You are able to take up as many jobs as possible as long as you can deliver on the jobs.

Top 6 Legit Ways To Make Money Posting Ads Online

It’s obvious that ads are a big business. Let’s face it, you can visit any site without seeing ads. So people are definitely making money because of them. Maybe you’re wondering how you can get in the game and earn a living posting ads online. Well in this article, we’ll reveal How To Make Money Posting Ads Online

How Much Can I Make Posting Ads Online?

Simply put, there’s simply no income ceiling. It all depends on how successful you are at getting people to take action from whatever form of ad you are promoting. There are tons of courses, strategies and channels to help you succeed in the ads posting game including My Best Work At Home Recommendation.

Ads Posting Scams To Avoid

But before we can get into talking about making money posting ads online, you need to know about the scams to avoid. Ironically typical ad posting scam you will run into is when you come upon a classified ad in a job board like Craigslist. The alleged employer is offering you a chance to make money sharing links. But to take part in the opportunity, you’ll be required to pay an upfront membership fee or purchase a starter kit or even pay for training. The price of this is anywhere between $20-$200.

Unfortunately if you respond, you will quickly realize you’ve been scammed. The alleged employer will send you your training kit which is basically asking you to post the very same ad that lured you in so now you can scam people into sending you money for the same fake kit. So that’s how most of these ad posting scams work.

But don’t get me wrong. Not all opportunities that require you to pay an upfront fee are scams. You just have to do your research before spending cash. The best way to avoid scams is to look up the company on Google or use resources such as the Better Business Bureau and other trusted scam watchdogs to try and see what real people are saying about the opportunity. If there are no positive reviews or solid information at all about the company it’s probably a scam. You can read more about how to avoid online scams here.

Top 6 Legit Ways To Make Money Posting Ads Online

Okay so now that you know what to avoid. Let’s discuss the legit ways you can actually earn income posting ads online. Just keep in mind that none of the following opportunities are get-rich-quick schemes. It takes time and patience to build a business around displaying ads for money. That said, here are six best ways to make money posting ads online.

Displaying Ads On Your Blog

If you’re a blogger or own a website, you can use ad networks like AdSense, Mediavine, etc to monetize your site’s traffic. Some may require you to have a minimum number of monthly visitors while others don’t. But basically you’ll be selling ad space on your site.

How much you make depends on a variety of factors . Adsense, for example has an RPM ( revenue per thousand impressions) of $2-$50+ based on niche, the quality of your website, traffic source, and the number of advertisers on the AdWords platform.

Once you placed the ads on your site, the income is passive. You don’t have to find new advertisers. The networks handle all that for you. I’ve made over $1million dollars with ads like this. Check out my video here

Sponsored Posts and Guest Posts

If you are an authority in a certain niche or have a large enough audience, you can offer to publish guest posts on your site at a fee. Companies may contact you to advertise their services on your website. They may ask you to publish a guest post, display a banner or a link related to their service. You’ll then charge them a fee for the space.

But if you’re going down that road, remember to ask yourself whether your readers will benefit from the material and whether it aligns with your brand. You definitely don’t want to personally endorse a product or service that may cause you to lose credibility with your audience.

Social Media Advertising

Companies like Izea, Mention, Brandwatch, Impact, Upfluence Software, Loop 88, Ifluenz and Socialbakers will pay you to publish sponsored messages on your socíal media sites if you have followers. They usually want a minimum of 100,000+ followers but that may vary. Either way how much you make depends on the size of your audience and how they respond to what you’re promoting. Different companies structure their payments differently but most of them will pay you per post.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is all about promoting another company’s products or services and earning a commission for every successful sale or action. A good example is the Amazon Affiliate Program. The best part about affiliate marketing is you’re partnering with reputable, well established companies, so you won’t really have to hold inventory or sell your own products.

You can promote your links on social media, via your blog or an email list. There are lots of ways and strategies built around affiliate marketing. One great way to get started as an affiliate marketer would be to join Wealthy Affiliate where you’ll basically get the tools strategies and training you need to become a successful affiliate marketer.

Monetizing your YouTube Channel

Making money on YouTube can be great business. They will pay you for displaying different types of ads on your video. This can be very profitable since YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google. But to monetize your videos you need to meet the requirements. At the time of this article, you will need over 1000 subscribers and at least 4,000 hours of watch hours over the past 12 months. But once you get there you can make money displaying Google AdSense ads.

You can also make affiliate cash posting links to products or services you recommend in your video descriptions. So besides the Youtube Adsense ads you can partner with companies directly to market their products or even land endorsement deals worth millions if you have an audience. Best of all, you only need a computer and reliable internet to get started.

Building or Using an Email List

An email list can be a valuable source of traffic for websites, especially one that has an audience with similar interests or needs.

All you need to do is partner with companies or websites that are willing to pay you for the traffic you send to them, or even sales commissions. Then at that point it’s all about creating useful emails that can appeal to your audience and tracking the performance of the links you insert in the email blasts you send.

So Can You Really Make Money Posting Ads Online?

Yes, you can build a business around displaying ads and make six to seven figures doing so. It all boils down to partnering with the right advertisers that will pay you your worth. Having a receptive targeted audience is probably the most important element of success. After that, getting your audience to take action is the last piece of the puzzle.

One of the best ways to get started is to join a training program that gives you the tools and strategies you need to get organic traffic from Google and build an audience from there. If you are interested in learning how to get traffic so you can make money with ads and other ways, then definitely consider using My Best Work At Home Recommendation

If you’re like me, you feel like you’re wasting money if you find awesome deals online, only to find out that you have to pay $20 in shipping. There goes all the money you just saved, right?

FreeShipping helps you avoid those hefty shipping fees.

It originally started as a site that offered a monthly subscription to give its users free shipping on participating online retail stores.

If you shop online frequently, the subscription easily pays for itself at $12.97 per month.

But, FreeShipping now offers cash back at participating retailers, too, which makes the service more than worthwhile for online shoppers!

No more searching for free shipping promo codes; let FreeShipping do it all for you.

Frugaa is an interesting type of coupon website offering something unique to its users: a special search feature that lets you choose the category you want to purchase from and your budget.

Frugaa will then search for deals within your budget to find you the best savings!

So, say you have a budget of $500 and want to save money on a new computer.

Plug the info into the search and Frugaa will work its magic to find you coupons that might help you reach your goal.

You can also just browse the site as usual to find deals you might be interested in.

Groupon is the best way to save if you’re looking to do things locally or at a vacation destination.

Its savings are amazing for certain things.

For example, right now there’s an 80% off deal for a hotel at Niagara Falls!

The price goes from $445 to $90 per night.

If you’re ever looking for local activities or experiences, check here first.

You can sign up for local e-mails too, and Groupon will let you know when deals become available for things near you.

Hip2Save is definitely a site you should bookmark and check on a few times per week.

It lists the hottest deals from several online retailers and a huge coupon database for you to find coupons for just about anything.

Plus, there’s even a Freebies section to find stuff for free!

Or, search through the rewards to see all the bonus stuff you can get from different online retailers.

The site also has an app for iOS and Android devices so you can browse on the go!

Honey is one of my must-haves for coupon apps.

When you sign up, you can add the simple browser extension to your browser.

When you shop anywhere online, Honey will comb through its database to instantly find coupon codes for you to use.

If it can’t find any for that store, you can still qualify for cash back!

After just a couple months of online shopping with Honey, I earned almost $50 in Amazon gift codes (Honey’s chosen method of payback).

The best part is you really don’t have to worry about it.

It’s there in your browser working its magic for you so you don’t even have to remember to click on it to find awesome coupons.

Living Social

Living Social is the perfect place to find coupons and discounts for local businesses.

It doesn’t have a lot to offer people in smaller towns, but you can always look for your closest larger town or city to find great deals.

Not only does it help bring some business to local companies, but it gives you great discounts too!

Price Blink

Price Blink is another app that can run in your browser, so you won’t even know it’s there most of the time.

When you shop online, Price Blink will compare prices for items you view at a retailer.

The app will show you several stores and let you know if any have that item for cheaper.

And, Price Blink will alert you to coupons for the item you’re interested in, or the store you’re shopping at, to give you even more savings!

RedPlum is famous for sending out its coupon flyers in newspapers all over the United States.

But, it also has an online version that offers even more awesome coupons for you!

It offers printable coupons and online coupon codes, as well as deals you can save with in your local stores.

I’ve gotten into the habit of checking RetailMeNot just about every time I shop online.

If one of my other go-to coupon websites don’t have what I’m looking for, usually RetailMeNot does, including 10% off or more or free shipping promo codes.

You can search the trending deals of the day on the homepage or search for the specific store you’re using.

Either way, you’re sure to save some money!

Add Savings.com to your list of coupon sites to check every day!

This excellent website has several coupons each for huge online retailers you likely use – all curated by shopping experts.

From online coupons to in-store printable coupons to Amazon deals, Savings.com has just about everything you need to save some major money when shopping.

You can also help contribute to the Savings.com community by sharing deals you’ve found and other money-saving tips.

ShopAtHome is a very user-friendly site that works a lot like RetailMeNot and Savings.com.

Find trending deals, weekly picks by editors, top stores offering excellent cash back offers, and blog posts with tips and tricks to save you money.

Many of the coupons and deals listed at SlickDeals are contributed by its users.

Other users can vote on the deals and the most popular ones make it to the featured deals on the front page.

There are also Editor’s Pick deals that can save you a lot of money at your favorite stores, like Amazon, Kohl’s, and more.

You may recognize the name SmartSource from the coupon booklets you get in the mail or newspaper.

It also has an online version that has hundreds of more deals for you to take advantage of!

This website focuses on printable coupons, so browse and clip the ones you’re interested in to print from your computer.

You can also browse local deals by plugging in your zip code at the top of the website.

The Krazy Coupon Lady

Yes, it’s a funny name, but the owners of The Krazy Coupon Lady sure do know how to coupon.

The website has been a huge hit for extreme and casual couponers alike for years, and that’s because of the ridiculous amount of deals it shares each day!

It’s grown into such a huge community that users are now allowed to post “Brags” of their huge savings to show others just how much they can save if they spend some time finding the right coupons.

If you use money-saving shopping apps, like Checkout51 or Ibotta, you can even find special deals for them on The Krazy Coupon Lady!

Conclusion: Best Coupon Sites

There are obviously coupon and money-saving websites galore!

These are just a few of the ones that can likely find you everything you need.

If you sign up for more than these, you’ll likely feel overwhelmed by an inbox bombarded with more deals than you can handle!

Be strategic by using a few of these that you like the most.

Choose at least a couple of sites that focus on printable in-store coupons, a couple that focus on online promo codes, and a couple of other money-saving cash back websites.

When you use them all together, you can maximize your savings!

Coupon codes + cash back for a purchase at a retailer means extra cash in your pockets.

What are your favorite coupon websites to use?

How much money do you typically save each purchase?

G Suite: Top 5 Benefits for Your Online Business

If you’re starting a business, chances are you’re looking for email and office software to power it. There are many business productivity suites out there, and choosing the right one for your company can seem like a challenge.

If you need an affordable and powerful productivity suite for your business, G Suite might be just what you’re looking for. This set of tools from Google offers email, cloud storage, document creation, and more, all with fantastic collaboration tools built in.

In this article, we’ll introduce G Suite and its key benefits. Let’s get started!

G Suite Offered by DreamHost

Work together from anywhere for just $6/user per month. Current DreamHost customers can try it free for 30 days.

An Introduction to G Suite

The G Suite home page.

Simply put, G Suite is Google’s package of business-focused apps and services. It’s Google’s answer to Microsoft Office, with a heavy focus on collaboration and the cloud.

The service was originally launched in 2006 as Google Apps and was rebranded as G Suite in 2016. It quickly gained a following for its ease-of-use, powerful collaboration features, and the ability to use it from any web browser.

Most of the apps included in G Suite are available for free to anyone with a Google account. However, by subscribing to one of the paid G Suite plans, you’ll get an ad-free experience, improved customer support, and some additional perks.

A quick note: Google is currently in the process of rebranding G Suite as “Google Workspace.” We’ll still refer to the service as G Suite in this article but wanted to point out that you may see it referenced under both names.

Top 5 Benefits of G Suite for Your Online Business

G Suite has a lot to offer for businesses of any size and niche. Let’s take a look at five of the ways this solution can help your company do more.

1. You’ll Get Access to a Wide Range of Tools

G Suite offers all the basics you’d expect from an office suite, and much more. Here are the main features:

  • Gmail, Google’s email platform, offers lots of features and plenty of flexibility.
  • Meet is G Suite’s secure video conferencing solution, designed to be simple and helpful.
  • Chat lets you easily keep in contact with your coworkers and colleagues.
  • Calendar is a powerful, cross-platform tool that integrates with other G Suite apps.
  • Drive provides secure cloud storage for all of your files.
  • Docs is Google’s word processing software and is built for collaboration.
  • Sheets is G Suite’s collaborative and easy-to-use spreadsheet app.
  • Keep is Google’s note-taking application, which supports photos, checklists, and more.

Whatever your business needs, G Suite probably offers a solution that can help. You can check out the full list of included features and apps on Google’s website.

2. Your Email Needs Will Be Covered

Gmail has been the industry standard for years, thanks to its advanced features and best-in-class spam protection and security. A G Suite account provides you with all the best features of Gmail, such as smart replies, while also enabling you to use your own custom email domain.

After that, labels are easily one of the most useful Gmail features for businesses. Instead of folders, as you’ll find in most traditional email clients, Gmail lets you assign multiple labels to each message. This offers you a lot of flexibility when it comes to organizing your communications.

3. Collaboration Is Made Easy

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides (a presentation solution) are easy-to-use productivity apps that offer many of the essential functions you need to run a business. Better yet, they provide easy avenues for collaboration.

In fact, all the apps in G Suite are designed from the ground up to make working as a team simpler. You can have multiple people working on a Google Doc simultaneously, and see where everyone is in the document. Comments are a simple click away, and you can receive an immediate notification when someone tags you.

Additionally, Google Meet and Google Chat offer simple video conferencing and messaging that you can hop into with a click. On competing services like Microsoft Office, these features can feel like an afterthought or require more effort to use.

4. G Suite Apps Are Available Everywhere

All of the G Suite apps are web-based, which means they’re available on any device with a web browser. You don’t need to worry about installing any programs, and your work won’t be interrupted by software updates. Google also offers excellent iOS and Android apps for all of its major services, so you can work on the go if needed.

To complement these apps, Google provides the Drive cloud storage service. The basic G Suite plan comes with 30 GB of cloud storage, but upgrading to a higher tier bumps that number up to several terabytes. So there’s plenty of room for your critical documents and creative content.

If you’re worried about not having internet access and being locked out of your files, don’t be. G Suite enables you to sync the major apps for offline use, so you can still edit documents or view emails when you don’t have a connection.

5. The Price Is Affordable

Finally, G Suite is highly affordable. The basic plan starts at just $6 per month per user, which is an excellent price for budget-conscious small business owners.

Higher-tier packages increase the price to $12 or $18 per month but also drastically increase the Google Drive storage amount. All G Suite plans also remove the ads normally present in the free versions of the apps, so you can work distraction-free.

The Cons of Using G Suite

Of course, like any product, G Suite isn’t perfect. While we love it, there are some downsides to consider when comparing Google’s offering with its competitors:

  • Power features. Google apps like Docs and Sheets tend to offer fewer features than their main competitors (such as Microsoft Word and Excel). G Suite does generally make up for this with superior collaboration tools, but it’s worth noting.
  • Desktop applications. If you require (or just prefer) desktop software, you won’t find it with G Suite. Everything is browser-based.
  • Storage. The base tier of G Suite only offers 30 GB of cloud storage space (although the higher tiers do bump this up significantly).
  • Support. Google offers “standard support” on all of its G Suite packages, with the option to upgrade to “enhanced support” for an additional fee. Unfortunately, Google support can be a little tough to deal with. With that being said, DreamHost offers expert support for our G Suite customers.

Despite these potential downsides, G Suite stands out as one of the most popular productivity and email solutions for businesses. However, no one tool is right for every organization, so it’s best to do your research carefully and compare it with other options.

How Much Do Used DVDs Sell For?

While you don’t expect to get the full purchase price for used DVDs, a quick spot check around the internet reveals that you should expect to sell used DVDs for a few cents to a dollar. Games sell for half their original price, while Blu-Ray discs sell for around a quarter to a third of their market value. However, rare items and collectives tend to fetch a tidy sum if you use bidding websites like eBay. But it all depends on where you are selling your merchandise and the condition of the DVD.

Where Can I Sell Used DVDs Online?

There are lots of resources you can use to turn your old DVDs into cash. Some may help you handle fulfilment while others require you to complete the sale once you find a prospective buyer. With that in mind, here are 12 places you can sell DVDs, CDs and even Blu-Ray discs.

E-Commerce Platforms

Decluttr– Decluttr will buy your used DVDs, bBlu-Ray movies, cell phones, tablets, game consoles, textbooks and similar items for cash. To start selling DVDs, just enter the barcode for the item you want to sell and ship it to them free of charge. You can sell via their app as well. If you choose to get paid via PayPal or direct deposit you’ll get your payment within 24 hours. Otherwise you’ll have to wait for a check in your mail after a couple of days. You can read more in our full Decluttr review

Amazon – There are a couple of selling options with Amazon. You can use the Amazon FBA (Amazon fulfills your sales), FBM (You are in charge of shipping and after sale services) or AMZ (Sell directly to Amazon). You can also trade in your DVDs for Amazon gift cards. The most profitable way would be to list the DVDs yourself as a third-party seller (FBA or FBM). Either way, unlike buyback vending, you’ll get your money once a buyer buys your merchandise on Amazon.

eBay – eBay is a no-brainer when it comes to selling anything used. Selling on eBay can be really lucrative as you’ll just sell to the highest bidder. This is the best platform to sell collectives and rare items. All you have to do is take pictures of your item, set a starting price and monitor bids. You can also set “Buy It Now” offers as well.

Buyback Vendors

Eagle Saver– Eagle Saver allows you to sell both new and used DVDs, CDs and Blu-Rays. All you have to do is enter the 12 digit barcode printed under the UPC barcode in their system. You’ll then receive an instant quote for the item. You can even sell your movies or TV series on Eagle Saver. They’ll give you a USPS or FedEx prepaid shipping label to ship it to them for free. Once they receive your item and everything checks out, they’ll pay you via PayPal or check the next day. If your item doesn’t pass their quality check they’ll ship it back to you for free.

SecondSpin– SecondSpin accepts any DVD title as long as it is coded as Region 1 or Region Free/All Disc. To stand a better chance of getting the best price, your disc needs to be as close to new as possible, with minimal writing or stickers on the printwork. SecondSpin also allows you to get an estimated trade-in value by keying in the barcode or DVD name on their website. They’ll refund your shipping cost if they accept your items. They pay via either PayPal, mailed check or store credit. Again, if you live near a SecondSpin store you can sell your merchandise in person.

Sell DVDs Online – Sell DVDs Online is another trusted buyer of DVDs, CDs, video game consoles, games and controllers. They’ll need you to enter the UPC barcode into their system and then you’ll get an instant quote. Your item needs to be in good working condition with no scratches, stains, chips or missing parts. You’ll then ship it to them for free and they’ll pay you within 3 working days if everything goes as planned. They pay via PayPal or check. However, Sell DVDs Online won’t accept anything new, as they can’t verify ownership or that the owner is trying to cash out quickly.

Bonavendi – This is basically a price search engine that allows you to compare the prices from 20 different buyback vendors. You can either scan your barcode using their app or feed in the numbers on the website. You’ll then get a quote for the items and the vendors willing to buy your DVD. You can then sell the DVD to your vendor of choice as per their individual selling policy, after sending the item to Bonavendi.

Social/Classified Ad Websites

Facebook– There are tons of buy and sell groups on Facebook. Listing is free, and you don’t have to worry about meeting the buyer in person or shipping as everything can be negotiated on the spot. All you have to do is find a legit buy and sell group in your area, take photos of the DVD and make your listing. You can then follow up with interested buyers. You may also opt to sponsor your listing and use Facebook Ads to increase the size of your audience.

Craigslist– This golden oldie platform also allows you to list and sell stuff for free. Just take photos of your item, describe it and let it fly. You’ll then discuss fulfillment logistics with the buyer. But be careful, Craigslist is a hotbed of all sorts of scams and crazy people. Try to meet a buyer in a public space and you should tag a friend along or meet in public.

Apps That Let You Sell Used DVDs

LetGo App – The LetGo app allows you to sell anything used for free. To list your DVD, just take clear photos of it, describe it in detail and make your listing. A potential buyer may contact you within the app or directly. You can then discuss terms afterwards. LetGo also allows you to pay for a classified ad. If you do so your item will lead the pack in search results. But take caution as LetGo won’t be held liable for a deal gone bad. You can read this LetGo app review to find out more about the app.

VarageSale– Selling on VarageSale is somewhat safer than LetGo or Craigslist as they verify all users and have some control over transactions and information exchange. To sell your DVDs on VarageSale, just take photos of your merch and post them up. If a buyer is interested they’ll contact you within the app. You can then discuss fulfilment with the buyer. VarageSale is safer as admins take you through a screening process before accepting you as a buyer or seller. You can read all about that in this VarageSale app review

DePop App – Depop is also great as they do monitor your interaction with buyers. As a seller you are protected by PayPal seller protection. To sell using DePop, you’ll have to take photos of your DVDs, make a detailed description and wait for a buyer to contact you within the app. A buyer will first pay for the item via PayPal, and you’ll then ship the item to them. When the buyer gets the item they’ll give your profile a rating based on their experience with you. You can do the same as well. You can read more on that in this DePop App review.

I Wrote a 20 page (will update much more) intro guide to MTurk/making money online : workathome

Hello all,

I spent my Sunday writing this for a few friends, figured I’d share it here! I know many of you are struggling, so I figured I’d write this for anyone that needs some extra cash, and can make money doing some online work!

It’s basically a guide on how I’ve been using my quarantine time to make extra cash online, and has about 5 pages of great money making sites, and then the rest is a very informative guide to beginning MTurking, that I’ll be updating to include much more to include Panda, TurkDroid, and other advanced things. I feel like it’ll be a help to new people. Feel free to use my nonref links for the other sites, or if you’re feeling generous, the ref links.

Let me know what you think I should include! I’m more than willing to put another few hours into this to make it perfect for beginners.
